I need someone smarter than me to talk abt Tseng😔 i wanna chew on him

I love Tseng! He's my fave Turk.

I personally view him as the group-dad of the Turks. He's kind of strict and no-nonsense but is also very fair and gentle towards his team so long as they get the job done. He's got the patience of a saint and more than often gets dragged into silly shenanigans with them (especially if Reno's up to something).

He's close with Rufus, though they never speak of their bond out loud. Rufus has always relied on him and Tseng's loyalty has always been to RUFUS first before anyone else. They're kind of inseparable.

Tseng and Sephiroth also had a grudging respect for each other. Tseng is very observant and had a more nuanced understanding of Sephiroth's situation, maybe even better than anyone else. They worked well together, even if they were both too cold and stoic to truly call each other friends.

I hc that after the events of FF7, Tseng and Rufus eventually get together later in life after a few failed relationships. Tseng remains devoted to Rufus all the way up to his deathbed.
